Project/Delivery Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Project/Delivery Manager based in Singapore to lead and ensure the successful execution of complex technical projects. The position is onsite, requiring close collaboration with diverse teams including business, product, AI, engineering, data, architecture, and QA to meet specified objectives and deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

• Define clear project scopes, objectives, dependencies, and success metrics with all stakeholders.
• Create and sustain detailed project schedules, allocation of resources, and milestone monitoring.
• Oversee the entire project lifecycle from initial concept through pilot stages, production deployment, operational transition, and closure.
• Track project progress ensuring targets related to data readiness, model development, integration, and testing are met timely and with high quality.
• Manage and evaluate change requests impacting scope, timeline, cost, and resource needs, accommodating AI development’s iterative nature.
• Translate AI use cases into actionable delivery plans with defined hypotheses, evaluation criteria, and go/no-go checkpoints.
• Monitor data dependencies including quality, access permissions, and licensing, escalating issues early to mitigate delivery or performance risks.
• Coordinate model evaluation and acceptance testing, validating performance, safety, and accuracy prior to production release.
• Ensure AI solutions comply with data privacy, security, intellectual property, bias mitigation, and human oversight policies with proper approvals documented.
• Set realistic expectations around AI deliverables, clearly communicating experimental results and the need for further iteration when applicable.
• Facilitate governance and coordination meetings such as sprint reviews, steering committees, and status updates for comprehensive project oversight.
• Communicate project status and dashboards effectively to stakeholders through regular reporting.
• Manage expectations, priorities, and communications across all project phases.
• Collaborate with other project managers and cross-functional units to handle interdependencies and promote best delivery practices.
• Liaise with external vendors, AI platform providers, and delivery partners to monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure adherence to contracts.
• Lead Agile delivery ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) and assist with backlog prioritization and release planning alongside Product Owners.
• Track sprint progress, remove roadblocks, and foster timely, quality delivery of sprint commitments.
• Coordinate business-as-usual activities such as production support, post-deployment model monitoring, retraining, and minor improvements, maintaining minimal disruption to projects and services.
• Identify and manage project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies, including AI-specific concerns like data quality, model drift, hallucination, and automation over-reliance.
• Maintain and update RAID logs and ensure timely resolution of issues.
• Escalate critical problems promptly with mitigation and recovery strategies.
• Ensure all documentation and governance align with organizational standards and regulatory audit requirements.
• Adhere to company policies around security, data protection, responsible AI practices, change management, and working hours.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
• At least nine years managing end-to-end technology or digital transformation projects, with substantial experience delivering AI, data, digital media, or intelligent automation initiatives.
• Demonstrated history delivering AI or machine learning projects from concept to production is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with AI delivery concepts including data pipelines, model training and evaluation, generative AI, large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, prompt engineering, and MLOps to effectively plan and manage technical work.
• Understanding of AI governance including responsible AI practices like data privacy, PDPA compliance, model risk, bias, explainability, and intellectual property considerations.
• Strong grasp of Agile and Scrum methodologies, with experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and iterative delivery management.
• Proven ability to juggle multiple concurrent projects, manage competing priorities, and lead cross-functional teams effectively in fast-moving settings.
• Excellent skills in stakeholder management, communication, presentation, and negotiation across business and technical audiences, including clarifying AI concepts for non-experts.
• Robust analytical and problem-solving aptitude, with proactive risk identification and resolution capabilities.
• Experience managing external vendors, system integrators, and partners is advantageous.
• Familiarity with BAU support, production support, and platform/service performance monitoring is beneficial.
• Proficiency with project and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Teams, and Office suite.
• Hands-on experience with AI productivity tools like Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT Enterprise, GitHub Copilot, or similar to enhance planning and reporting.
• Project management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, CSM, PSM, PMI-ACP or equivalents are a plus. AI or cloud certifications (e.g., Microsoft Azure AI, AWS Machine Learning, Google Cloud AI) are an added advantage.
