Job description

Role Overview

This position entails managing the entire lifecycle of projects focusing on large-scale HRIS and Workforce Management system deployments, typically spanning multiple countries or global setups. The Project Manager will oversee delivery to clients, lead diverse and distributed teams, and collaborate closely with senior stakeholders, system integrators, and vendors within dynamic industries like retail, hospitality, and logistics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate strategic plans and direct teams to ensure project milestones are achieved on time, within budget, and meet quality standards with formal approvals.
  • Take full responsibility for defining, planning, and executing major HRIS/WFM implementation projects, involving platforms such as UKG Pro, Kronos, or Workday WFM.
  • Lead delivery programs across multiple countries or globally, balancing consistency and local customization needs.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, external system integrators, and vendors to ensure unified effort and alignment across various workstreams.
  • Drive scoping initiatives and help prioritize business objectives during complex transformation projects, engaging with senior-level decision-makers in pressured settings.
  • Operate effectively in large-scale workforce environments to address challenges such as shift-based schedules and fluctuating demand.
  • Maintain active risk, assumption, issue, and dependency (RAID) tracking to anticipate and mitigate project risks.
  • Oversee critical workstreams covering data migration, system integration, and reporting, including payroll, HRIS, and ERP linkages.
  • Employ structured, iterative project management techniques, managing scope modifications and securing necessary approvals.
  • Develop detailed project plans using tools like MS Project and communicate transparently with all stakeholders regularly.
  • Use metrics and reporting frameworks to monitor project progress and make informed adjustments.
  • Identify and resolve delivery obstacles promptly with clear prioritization strategies.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing sessions and conduct project reviews to encourage continuous improvement and best practice adoption.
  • Ensure projects complete on schedule and budget, while contributing to forecasting, financial management, and resource allocation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred Credentials

  • Certifications in Project Management such as PRINCE2 or PMP.
  • Agile credentials like Scrum or SAFe.
  • Certifications relevant to UKG or other HR/WFM systems.

Experience Requirements

  • At least eight years’ experience managing projects/programs with proven success in complex transformation deliveries.
  • Hands-on experience deploying major HRIS/WFM systems such as UKG Pro or Kronos.
  • Proficiency in guiding multi-country or global project programs.
  • Background in high-volume, shift-oriented sectors like retail, hospitality, or logistics.
  • Experience overseeing multidisciplinary teams, system integrators, and vendor partnerships.
  • In-depth knowledge of workforce management systems and their integrations with payroll, HRIS, and ERP platforms.
  • Skills in managing data migration and reporting solutions.
  • Familiarity with labor compliance and payroll processes is advantageous.
  • Excellent stakeholder communication, negotiation, and risk management abilities.
  • Expertise in RAID management, financial monitoring, resource planning, and decisive problem-solving across dispersed locations.
