Project Manager

About the Role

This position is responsible for guaranteeing customer satisfaction by effectively managing projects from order entry through to commissioning, ensuring consistent business from customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead successful delivery of Grid Automation orders within the UAE.
• Track and achieve critical KPIs such as revenue, cash flow, inventory management, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure all order execution complies with company policies, contractual obligations, quality standards, health, safety, environmental requirements, financial goals, and schedule commitments.
• Foster strong relationships with customers to ensure timely project completion and satisfaction.
• Conduct project reviews in coordination with factory management and factory Project Managers to verify contract compliance.
• Proactively identify risks and negotiate resolutions to escalated issues, especially those raised by customers.
• Plan, monitor, and control project scope, timelines, and costs, coordinating regularly with the Head of Project Management Team.
• Ensure the entire portfolio of projects follows approved methodologies and execution practices, closing projects per contractual agreements.
• Coordinate responses to any customer requests related to project execution or additional requirements generating further sales opportunities.
• Ensure adherence to all relevant external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or an equivalent technical qualification.
• At least five years of project management experience.
• PMP certification is required.
• Strong leadership capabilities to guide teams and convince stakeholders in the project’s interest.
• Ability to perform under pressure ensuring delivery within time, cost, and quality targets.
• Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems is advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail ensuring accuracy and quality in project outputs.
• Skilled in developing work processes and implementing lessons learned to improve practices.
• Adaptability to shifting priorities and the ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional and multicultural teams.
• Analytical mindset capable of identifying and mitigating risks and challenges.
• Knowledge of Hitachi Energy products (IEDs & SCADAs) and project management experience specifically in the UAE.
• Experience with utilities sector is a plus.
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English is mandatory.
