Role Overview
This full-time, on-site Project Manager position is headquartered in the Greater Melbourne Area. The individual will be responsible for end-to-end management of commercial construction projects, overseeing scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and coordination. Daily duties include supervising site operations, managing project schedules, conducting progress meetings, and assuring compliance with safety and quality benchmarks. The role also demands collaboration with clients, architects, engineers, suppliers, and subcontractors to address challenges and sustain project progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage project timelines and coordinate site activities.
- Lead progress meetings to monitor project status.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders including clients and subcontractors.
- Identify and mitigate risks throughout project phases.
- Prepare regular status reports for internal and external parties.
- Support procurement processes and expedite delivery schedules.
- Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within scope, and on budget.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
- Proven expertise in managing construction projects including planning, execution, and monitoring.
- Experience in expediting activities to maintain timely materials and services delivery.
- Competence in inspecting work quality, safety compliance, and specification adherence.
- Skills in logistics management focused on delivery coordination and supply chain optimization.
- Relevant academic qualifications in construction management, engineering, or equivalent practical experience in commercial building.
- Proficiency with construction project management software and common office tools.
- Strong documentation, reporting, and stakeholder communication abilities.
- Demonstrated capability to lead multidisciplinary teams effectively.
- Thorough knowledge of Australian building codes, contracts, regulations, and occupational health and safety standards.
