About the Role
ConsultANZ is looking for a seasoned Project Engineer to join a water infrastructure project located in Edgecumbe, Bay of Plenty. This role is ideal for someone who wishes to advance their career in the civil and water infrastructure sectors by contributing to the project delivery, team leadership, and commissioning aspects of water and wastewater treatment plants.
Main Responsibilities
- Ensure project delivery aligns with schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
- Assist in overseeing the concluding mechanical, electrical, and commissioning phases of a Wastewater Treatment Works (WWTW) project.
- Manage and coordinate on-site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers efficiently.
- Monitor project expenditures, evaluate subcontractor claims, and handle valuations.
- Maintain strict adherence to quality assurance, safety protocols, and environmental standards.
- Facilitate clear and effective communication with engineers, supervisors, and project leadership to guarantee smooth progress.
- Foster a collaborative, supportive, and safe team atmosphere.
Candidate Requirements
- A tertiary degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering or a comparable qualification.
- Minimum of four years' experience working on water, wastewater, or related infrastructure projects.
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction methodologies, engineering principles, and QA/QC practices.
- A proactive, hands-on work ethic complemented by strong communication and leadership abilities.
- A solution-oriented approach with eagerness to embrace growth and additional responsibilities.
