Project Engineer

About the Company and Role

A prominent technology solutions firm located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, specializing in ELV (Extra Low Voltage) and AV (Audio Visual) systems, seeks a Project Engineer. The company provides comprehensive system design, supply, installation, and integration services across the Middle East, emphasizing quality, innovation, and client satisfaction across varied commercial and specialized projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute the designed system architecture according to schematics and schedules.
• Adhere to technical briefs and procurement requirements while managing contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Offer technical insights to ensure proper interconnection and interfacing of all systems.
• Support the Deputy Project Manager throughout the project implementation phase.
• Deploy tools and procedures to maintain strict compliance with document control processes.
• Identify and manage any project changes effectively.
• Collaborate with the Deputy Project Manager to oversee implementation during the construction phase, coordinating internal and external teams to deliver a fully integrated system.
• Participate in internal and external progress meetings, documenting outcomes and actions.
• Coordinate construction progress meetings with consultants and contractors, issuing minutes and action points to all stakeholders.
• Engage subcontractors by obtaining at least three competitive quotations.
• Supervise subcontractors and supplier performance.
• Implement health and safety requirements following legislation and contract procedures.
• Ensure adherence to internal quality procedures and client quality assurance processes.
• Actively participate in commissioning and handover activities, including documentation.
• Conduct weekly toolbox talks on topics designated by the Project Manager.
• Enforce the company’s Quality Management System.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications Engineering, or related field.
• 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in executing ELV projects, preferably within commercial, healthcare, hospitality, education, or infrastructure sectors.
• Knowledge of international and local standards relevant to ELV systems.
• Professional certifications like PMP, CAPM, BICSI, or manufacturer-specific credentials are advantageous.
• Proven experience managing ELV projects through all phases, from initiation to handover.
• Practical familiarity with systems including CCTV, Access Control, Structured Cabling, Public Address, Fire Alarm Interface, Intrusion Detection, IPTV, SMATV, Audio Visual systems, Building Management Systems, and Parking Management Systems.
• Skilled in reviewing project specifications, drawings, and bills of quantities.
• Experienced in project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and monitoring progress.
• Ability to coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary teams efficiently.
• Competent in preparing material submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, method statements, and inspection requests.
• Experience in site supervision, installation, testing, commissioning, and project close-out activities.
• Capability to prepare as-built drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, and handover documents.
• Proficient in managing project budgets, variations, and procurement coordination.
• Familiarity with quality assurance, quality control procedures, and health, safety, and environmental requirements.
