Role Overview
We are seeking a committed Project Associate to join our Schools Team in Odisha on a 12-month contract. Situated onsite, this role involves close coordination with the Odisha Education Department and internal Khan Academy teams to successfully deploy our learning platform in government schools across the state.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate implementation of the Khan Academy program throughout Odisha's government schools.
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with education administrators at various levels, including nodal officers, state resource persons, district and block-level officers.
- Conduct 8-10 monthly field visits along with 10-15 calls to observe and assess program rollout and challenges.
- Document key state meetings and activities systematically and keep all stakeholders updated.
- Analyze qualitative feedback from state educational systems to enhance learning and program outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with Khan Academy's content, partner operations, teacher development, and efficacy teams to ensure seamless program execution.
- Assist with other program-related tasks as required.
Candidate Profile
- 3-4 years of practical experience, preferably with background as an educator or prior involvement with government schools in Odisha.
- Proficiency in spoken and written Odia essential.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively and manage relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and precise attention to detail, capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent documentation skills in both Odia and English, capable of synthesizing information clearly.
- Comfortable working with quantitative data and qualitative insights to identify trends and inform decisions.
- Effective communication skills adaptable to different audiences and formats including emails, reports, presentations, and verbal discourse.
- Quick learner with a proactive and entrepreneurial approach, eager to take initiative and handle ambiguity.
- Passionate about education and aspiring to make a meaningful impact.
- Ready to relocate and work onsite within government offices in Odisha.
