Role Overview
The Programs & Operations Coordinator represents the Darwin International Tennis Centre (DITC) from a club and coaching operational standpoint. The key responsibility is to support and promote the day-to-day delivery of diverse programs including Pickleball, social tennis, Hot Shots for children, and more. This role aims to drive DITC's growth by cultivating an inviting and inclusive environment and leveraging comprehensive knowledge of local tennis pathways and offerings in the Northern Territory. Whether engaging face-to-face, by phone, or online, you will be the welcoming face for all participants.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver tennis coaching across various environments and skill levels, including school programs and adult lessons at DITC.
- Serve as a positive, dependable ambassador for Tennis and associated sports at the club.
- Promote the DITC pathway and available participation options for players at all levels.
- Manage attendance records and class billing administration, ensuring up-to-date and clear communication with customers.
- Create and refresh marketing materials such as posters, social media content, and web pages for the club.
- Support major Tennis NT and DITC events by assisting in roles such as café staffing and general player services.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess or be willing to obtain Tennis Australia Trainee Coach qualification.
- Hold or commit to completing Senior First Aid certification including CPR.
- Have a strong understanding of the Australian tennis system, including coaching pathways, Hot Shots, Cardio Tennis, and participation programs.
- Demonstrate willingness to contribute proactively to the Tennis NT team.
- Understand tennis products and brands, including racquets, strings, and accessories.
- Hold or be prepared to acquire a current Police Check and Working with Children Check.
- Be flexible regarding work hours and arrangements related to Tennis NT activities.
