Job description
Job Overview
The Programme Executive plays a crucial role in providing both programme-related and administrative support at the Centre, which focuses on caring for individuals with mental health challenges. Demonstrating respect, understanding, and empathy towards clients and their caregivers is essential. Candidates should be comfortable and calm when engaging with persons facing mental health issues.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of daily activities planned for the day centre.
- Accompany clients during outings and excursions.
- Ensure smooth management and continuous delivery of programmes.
- Contribute ideas to enhance activities preferred by clients.
- Take initiative to lead at least one activity weekly, such as art & craft, cooking or domestic crafts for female clients, outdoor activities (e.g., badminton, park walks), indoor games, or computer sessions.
- Help organize outings, festive events, and various celebrations.
- Provide assistance in life skills, functional skills training, and vocational skills development for clients.
- Carry out other duties as assigned by supervisors.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required.
- Address general inquiries via phone or walk-ins.
- Perform office tasks including photocopying, filing, caregiver contact, mailings, invoicing, and fee collections.
- Support volunteer coordination efforts.
Requirements
- Possess a diploma qualification.
- Have a minimum of two years’ relevant work experience.
- Show genuine passion for working with individuals experiencing mental health issues.
- Exhibit empathy and caring attitudes.
- Possess strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Be an effective team player.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills.
