About The Role
Benmax seeks a detail-oriented Production Recorder to join their Fabrication team. The main workplace is the Hume site, with frequent travel to locations in Canberra and Queanbeyan. This position involves both on-floor activities collecting production data and desk work entering information, making it ideal for candidates comfortable in varied work environments. Regular interaction with internal colleagues and supervisors requires strong interpersonal communication skills alongside production or administrative expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Document daily production output and track job progress against scheduled timelines.
- Measure completed work including quantities, weights, lengths, and units.
- Input labour hours, job numbers, and cost codes into production and timekeeping software.
- Monitor materials and components allocated to jobs, capturing batch and serial information.
- Verify recorded data with job cards, work orders, and supervisor approvals.
- Generate daily and weekly production reports for supervisors and management.
Requirements
- At least three years of experience in production recording, data entry, or administrative roles within manufacturing environments.
- High precision and attention to detail in data handling.
- Comfortable working with computers, spreadsheets, and ERP or production management systems.
- Strong verbal communication skills to engage confidently with employees, supervisors, and managers on a daily basis.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certificate III in Business Administration, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- Certification in Six Sigma methodologies.
