Role Summary - Production Coordinator II

Based at the Auckland, New Zealand facility, this role is hands-on and essential for maintaining production materials flow. The Production Coordinator II tracks work order statuses, expedites deliveries when necessary, and supports production planners to guarantee timely material availability within the global production system.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure timely issuance of shop floor items aligned with production work orders.
• Conduct regular inspections across assigned departments to manage shop floor material movements and oversee kanban processes.
• Maintain accuracy and orderliness of lineside inventory, including performing cycle counts and ensuring tidy storage within assigned areas.
• Monitor inventory order lines and escalate issues presenting risks for late delivery.
• Keep a close watch on perishable and consumable materials, escalating potential shortages or blockages to production.
• Promptly address and report material obstructions that hinder order completion.
• Assist in prioritizing and expediting subassemblies in support of vehicle integration schedules, including monitoring receipt, quality control, and inventory status for urgent parts.
• Collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams and help achieve broader company goals.
• Provide aid to other supply chain functions as required.
• Be prepared to work flexible hours, including extended shifts or weekends, when needed.
• Maintain material traceability with accurate serial and lot number differentiation.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management relevant to the role.

Candidate Qualifications

• Minimum of high school diploma complemented by at least two years of experience in production-related roles.
• Competency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with ERP systems to manage production and supply processes.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, manage multiple tasks, and provide progress updates effectively.
• Strong team orientation, excellent multitasking skills, and the capacity to thrive in fast-paced environments with tight deadlines.
• Organizational skills to prioritize tasks efficiently and handle various responsibilities.
• Capability or willingness to operate forklifts and other required material handling equipment.

Preferred but Not Mandatory

• Possession of a certificate or diploma in manufacturing, business, or supply chain management or related fields.

Work Environment and Conditions
