Role Overview
The Product Manager - Trading Experience will oversee and enhance the functionalities of Axi's app and web trading platforms. The focus areas include market discovery, trade execution, position management, performance monitoring, and overall trading lifecycle interaction, delivering a seamless and efficient platform for users.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and refine the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for trading-related applications, aligning with business goals, client needs, and performance metrics.
- Develop and enhance trader-centric features such as watchlists, charts, order tickets, trade execution flows, open positions, alerts, and portfolio performance.
- Understand trader expectations for speed, stability, clarity, transparency, and ease of use in our digital trading environment.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, design, data analytics, trading, risk, operations, compliance, and commercial teams to deliver end-to-end product initiatives.
- Engage closely with middle office and operational teams to comprehend trade lifecycle processes including capture, validation, reconciliation, monitoring, and reporting.
- Work with eFX and trading departments to consider elements affecting execution like pricing, liquidity, latency, slippage, and routing.
- Create clear product requirements, user stories, priorities, and workflows translating trader needs, technical constraints, and operational conditions.
- Leverage data from client feedback, trading behavior, support metrics, and platform analytics to identify pain points and prioritize enhancements.
- Lead new feature development and deployment improving overall trading experience on app and web.
- Monitor product usage, engagement, execution metrics, client feedback, and operational impact to assess product effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, risk, and operational standards especially in areas involving execution, leverage, margin, and client communications.
- Maintain transparent communication with stakeholders about progress, priorities, risks, and outcomes.
- Balance trader needs, commercial benefits, regulatory demands, technical feasibility, and operational robustness when making product decisions.
Candidate Profile
- At least 7 years of professional experience predominantly in product management within trading platforms, fintech, brokerage, investing, FX/CFD, wealth management, or complex digital financial products.
- Experience enhancing app and/or web products used in high-stakes, frequent, or finance-sensitive settings.
- Strong understanding or genuine interest in trading products, trader psychology, and platform expectations throughout the trading process.
- Familiarity with trading platform components such as market search tools, watchlists, charts, orders, positions, historical trades, balances, margins, P&L, alerts, and reporting.
- Proven success in delivering software products or features on web/mobile platforms.
- Comfortable managing full product life cycles from discovery through launch to ongoing improvement.
- Excellent product intuition with skills in defining strategy and ensuring detail-oriented execution.
- Ability to simplify complex trading, operational, and technical requirements into user-friendly solutions.
- Proficient at applying customer insights, analytics, trading data, and market research to make informed decisions.
- Effective communicator with technical and non-technical audiences, capable of influencing multiple cross-functional teams.
- Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects with clear decision-making on trade-offs.
- Demonstrates ownership, sound judgment, and an action-oriented mindset.
