Product Manager – Platform Team

They are seeking a Product Manager for their Platform Team who will be responsible for managing the core platform, cloud operations, integrations, and foundational services that AI Hub engineering teams depend on. This role involves ensuring high reliability, scalability, and developer usability of the infrastructure supporting NLP, Computer Vision, and Large Language Models served via inference platforms like NVIDIA Triton.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and continuously update the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for platform services, cloud operations, and integrations; prioritize investments, analyze build vs. buy options, and promote adoption among all AI Hub teams while establishing business cases demonstrating ROI through improved productivity, cost savings, and stability.
• Conduct ongoing user research with internal engineering teams to validate improvements, identify workflow obstacles, and set priorities amidst competing demands. Explore technological advancements in cloud infrastructures, container orchestration, CI/CD pipelines, observability tools, and integration frameworks to boost developer autonomy and self-service capabilities.
• Guide the agile, cross-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality platform increments on schedule by collaborating closely with Engineering and Machine Learning teams to clarify requirements, resolve issues, support technical decisions, and embrace an iterative, data-driven development process for rapid learning.
• Define and track success metrics such as deployment frequency, lead time, mean time to recovery (MTTR), developer satisfaction, and cloud cost efficiency; initiate cost optimization strategies and derive action plans based on data analytics, experiments, and user feedback.
• Serve as the platform team's spokesperson by transparently communicating strategy, progress, and roadmaps to stakeholders and leadership; translate technical tasks and technical debt into business outcomes, drive adoption through evangelism and change management, and foster alignment across a matrix organization through influence without formal authority.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Informatics or a related field with several years of product management experience focused on platform engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure products.
• Strong platform engineering perspective prioritizing internal developers as customers, proven experience in roadmapping, business case development, and promoting platform adoption through user research, evangelism, and change management.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (such as Azure), Kubernetes and container orchestration, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab), observability architectures, and integration techniques like event-driven messaging and shared APIs. Operational understanding of AI/ML model serving and inference infrastructure (such as NVIDIA Triton) without requirement to train models.
• Ability to assess technical feasibility, challenge complexity constructively, make decisions driven by data, and navigate ambiguous situations effectively.
• Excellent communication skills for translating platform value to technical and non-technical stakeholders, building consensus, and influencing cross-functional teams without direct authority.
• A self-organized, pragmatic, and structured approach to work; comfortable handling both strategic and tactical tasks; driven by curiosity and continuous learning.
• Proficient in English (C1 level); knowledge of German is advantageous.

Preferred Additional Experience

• Prior involvement with document processing, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), AI/ML products, or enterprise SaaS platforms.
• Background in site reliability engineering, DevOps, or software engineering before transitioning to product management.
• Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud deployments (e.g., Azure, OpenStack).
• Familiarity with open source platform tools ecosystem.
• Experience scaling platforms in fast-growing or rapidly evolving environments.
