Job description

About CapsLock

CapsLock specializes in delivering superior marketing solutions tailored for major clients in the home improvement sector. Rather than merely promoting products or services, the company commits to building enduring marketing partnerships with their clients.

Our workforce is fundamental to our success, being our most prized resource. We strive to maintain a working environment that attracts and retains top talent from around the world, reflecting the demands of our innovative business model.

Role Overview

We are growing our Product team with a role dedicated to managing part of our internal product ecosystem. Initially, the focus will be on the Media Buyer Automation Platform, which includes critical components such as rules engines, pacing logic, budget spend controls, alert systems, and workflow tools enabling a small team to handle large budgets efficiently. This product portfolio is expected to expand, covering other internal tools related to marketing automation, reporting and analytics, creative operations, and new solutions emerging from evolving business needs.

This position demands active involvement in building products rather than just coordinating tasks. The product will be used internally with rapid feedback cycles, and its effectiveness will be measured by improvements in cost per acquisition, return on ad spend, reduced unnecessary expenditure, and time saved for the team. Reporting will be directly to the Head of Product, collaborating closely with Engineering, Data, Media Buying, Creative, and Operations departments daily.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the full lifecycle management of the Media Buyer Automation Platform roadmap, covering concept discovery, prioritization, detailed specifications, implementation, adoption, and continuous refinement.
  • Take responsibility for additional internal product projects as the portfolio diversifies, including marketing automation, analytics reporting, creative operations, cross-platform account management, and data reconciliation tools.
  • Collaborate closely with media buyers to understand their workflows deeply and translate operational needs into dependable automation features such as budget pacing, alerting for anomalies, spending limits, bulk operations, and approval processes.
  • Identify manual tasks across the business that strain capacity and assess opportunities for automation via internal development or external solutions.
  • Develop clear and comprehensive product specifications for engineering teams, detailing edge cases, failure scenarios, rollback procedures, and completion standards.
  • Create prototypes and lightweight automations when suitable to hasten alignment and address smaller workflow challenges independent of the engineering roadmap.
  • Promote product adoption through user onboarding, enablement activities, thorough documentation, and establishing continuous feedback mechanisms to sustain value and active use.
  • Define relevant product performance metrics, ensure accurate instrumentation and visibility, and partner with Data teams to handle event taxonomy, attribution complexities, and measurement trade-offs.
  • Manage experimentation and staged rollouts to verify feature changes, particularly those impacting advertising expenditure, prior to full deployment.
  • Regularly assess and iterate on products by analyzing performance data, gathering user feedback, and aligning with evolving business objectives.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years experience in Product Management, including at least 2 years leading complex data-driven or workflow-intensive products end-to-end.
  • Proven ability to develop internal or B2B tools with high levels of user adoption within teams.
  • Expertise in defining KPIs, event taxonomies, creating dashboards, and utilizing data effectively for decision making.
  • Active use and functional knowledge of AI tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Lovable, n8n, and custom scripting to develop prototypes and automate processes; examples will be requested.
  • Solid understanding of large language model (LLM) constraints, probabilistic feature evaluations, and designing fallback mechanisms.
  • Comfort in managing multiple concurrent projects and confidently prioritizing deliverables.
  • Demonstrated success in releasing small, frequent product updates instead of infrequent large-scale launches.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, including the ability to craft clear product specifications, articulate trade-offs, and report status transparently.
  • Experience working effectively across different global time zones.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Familiarity with paid acquisition platforms like Meta, Google, and TikTok, as well as rules engines, budget pacing mechanisms, and creative testing workflows.
  • A degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or demonstrable experience overseeing complex SaaS products involving multi-platform API integrations.
  • Hands-on experience with A/B testing frameworks, feature flagging, or controlled rollout systems impacting advertising spend decisions.
