Job description

Position Overview

CGI is seeking a full-time Product Manager to join our FX Trading and Capital Markets product team, contributing to the creation and execution of product strategy and roadmap priorities. This role involves collaboration across product, engineering, and various cross-functional teams to deliver features aligned with the changing needs in foreign exchange and capital markets.

Work Arrangement

This hybrid position requires the candidate to be present at our downtown Toronto office or another specified location at least two days per week. This requirement is subject to modification as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of product features, coordinating with internal and external collaborators to communicate the product vision and ensure the focus is on delivering optimal value.
  • Work in partnership with product groups, product architects, and implementation teams to develop and prioritize a feature backlog and define user stories.
  • Engage in product design sessions to guarantee that market and user requirements are fully addressed.
  • Manage product group profit and loss responsibilities, including budget development, business management, financial opportunities, profitability, and delivery oversight.
  • Shape the business architecture and lead grooming sessions for product features, ensuring development teams have a clear understanding of requirements.
  • Serve as a main point of contact for queries related to requirements, domain expertise, and product details.
  • Motivate and guide teams to deliver innovative solutions promptly and effectively.
  • Promote the product and educate both internal stakeholders and external audiences about the key differentiators and advantages.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify business challenges, market trends, competitor landscapes, and technological updates.
  • Coordinate with sales, development, marketing, customer support, and professional services teams to provide expert guidance as a product specialist.

Required Qualifications

  • 10 to 15 years of experience with FX trading solutions or service providers, with extensive exposure to a variety of foreign exchange assets, FX options, comprehensive front-to-back-office transaction processes, and regulatory considerations.
  • Strong technical knowledge to influence product roadmap and strategic direction.
  • Proven experience working within Agile methodologies.
  • Ability to perform effective reviews to enhance and maintain the quality of deliverables.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex information in both business and technical language.
  • Competent in critically analyzing information from multiple sources, resolving conflicts, and breaking down high-level data into detailed requirements.
  • Experience mentoring teams from a functional perspective and promoting a culture of knowledge sharing and learning.
  • Strong leadership capabilities including inspiring and guiding teams.
  • Highly skilled in analysis, problem-solving, active listening, and conducting interviews.

Additional Information

Compensation for this role is estimated between $95,000 and $145,000 annually, considering factors such as skills, experience, training, location, and certifications. This is a current vacancy and offers an opportunity to contribute significantly in a respected IT and business consulting firm.
