About the Role

The Product Manager for AI Services will oversee the entire product lifecycle of a unified set of AI capabilities that support Esko's internal teams, preventing duplication and enabling them to solve customer challenges swiftly and effectively. Central to the role is fostering cooperation across departments. You will guide internal teams, harmonize their requirements to find shared priorities, collaborate with technical and design stakeholders to agree on optimal solutions, and produce clear, testable specifications that are approved prior to development.

Deliverables include a well-organized and prioritized backlog and roadmap that reflect the collective needs of Esko's product teams and align with corporate strategy and AI transformation goals. Progress updates will be communicated to stakeholders, and support will be provided through acceptance testing, issue resolution, and change management. You will promote the adoption of AI services in production, ensuring continued success by adapting services to evolving team and customer demands while preserving a general-purpose approach and backward compatibility. Moreover, you will expand capabilities in line with technological advances and market trends.

Monitoring usage and key performance indicators will be essential to demonstrate impact and highlight focus areas. As an integral part of the Esko AI team, you will contribute to shaping the strategic vision for AI through ideation, thought leadership, customer engagement, and participation in events.

Responsibilities

• Manage and prioritize the product backlog for AI Services, a shared set of AI functionalities utilized by Esko’s product and engineering teams.
• Engage cross-functional product teams to collect requirements and translate them into clear, well-defined engineering specifications.
• Serve as an intermediary among AI, product, engineering, and commercial teams to facilitate AI capability development that meets customer needs.
• Assist teams in initiating AI projects leveraging existing shared capabilities by clarifying available resources, identifying what needs building, and guiding initial steps.
• Evaluate competing demands from stakeholders, balancing them against long-term corporate priorities, while documenting associated risks and trade-offs.
• Establish and maintain adoption and success metrics for shared capabilities, using these to reassess backlog priorities and identify areas requiring attention.
• Effectively communicate roadmaps, priorities, and trade-offs to engineering, product, and leadership audiences.

Requirements

• Minimum five years of experience in software product management, ideally with ownership of platforms, APIs, or shared services used by multiple internal teams.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Fluent or native proficiency in English.
• Proven track record in launching, deploying, and scaling AI-powered solutions in production environments, managing projects from proofs-of-concept to mature capabilities relied upon by multiple teams.
• Experience coordinating across large global organizations and diverse teams: collecting and reconciling requirements, aligning competing priorities, and driving shared successful outcomes.
• Strong foundation in product management tasks such as backlog ownership, refinement, roadmap development, communication, and writing precise, testable requirements.
• Ability to operate effectively at the intersection of platform teams and their consumers, balancing shared and individual team objectives and schedules.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of collaborating smoothly with both technical and business stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

• Background or experience within the packaging graphics or broader graphic arts industry is highly desirable.
