Role Overview
Joining Walmart Canada as a Produce Stocker offers a fantastic chance to develop key skills in a lively retail setting. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, well-organized produce department with clearly defined sections ready for customer access at all times.
- Regularly rotate stock and promptly remove any expired produce to guarantee top quality and freshness.
- Ensure all produce is accurately priced and clearly signed, handling ordering, clearance, price adjustments, labeling, and signage according to company guidelines.
- Adhere strictly to food safety standards including sanitation, cold chain maintenance, temperature monitoring using thermometers, proper handling, and compliance with sell-by and expiration dates.
- Manage stocking and destocking tasks, use product protection when necessary, and arrange modular displays—including flex modulars and shelf caps—to keep inventory well presented and replenished.
- Follow all health and safety protocols to maintain a secure and tidy working environment.
- Demonstrate flexibility by being available for various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays to support smooth store operations and consistent customer service.
Challenges in This Role
- Handle a high volume of tasks in a fast-moving environment, particularly during overnight shifts requiring careful energy and focus management.
- Effectively plan and manage work hours to remain alert and productive throughout shifts.
- Deliver efficient and accurate completion of large restocking and recovery workloads on time.
- Perform frequent physical activities such as prolonged standing, bending, lifting inventory and equipment weighing up to 20 lbs, occasionally up to 50 lbs.
- Repeat tasks like stocking, zoning, and organizing produce with attention to detail to uphold Walmart's standards.

Compensation
The starting wage for this position is $18.70 per hour.
