Job description

Job Overview

Wood is recruiting a Procurement Specialist to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role requires regular site visit engagements to support procurement activities within an EPCM framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and evaluate the procurement strategies, material requests, and timelines provided by EPCM contractors.
  • Assist in the technical appraisal of vendor submissions, including bid evaluations and vendor selection procedures.
  • Assess and confirm purchase orders, vendor records, logistics plans, and quality assurance measures.
  • Attend factory acceptance tests, vendor inspections, and help expedite procurement deliverables.
  • Support management of long-lead items, track equipment status, and address vendor issues as required.
  • Collaborate with engineering departments to guarantee accurate and timely incorporation of vendor data into project documentation.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Possess a minimum of five years of relevant experience.
  • Comprehensive understanding of essential contracting principles backed by applicable industry experience.
  • Familiarity with contract terms, procurement methodologies, and contracting workflows.
  • Ability to efficiently engage with multidisciplinary project teams and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of corporate and project protocols along with awareness of client contract frameworks and guidelines.
  • Experience within Mining, Oil & Gas, EPC, or EPCM sectors is advantageous.
  • Hold a bachelor's degree or demonstrate equivalent pertinent work experience.
  • Preference given to Saudi nationals.
