Job description
Role Overview
This permanent remote position as a Procurement Executive, Purchasing Executive, or Procurement Officer encompasses the complete management of purchasing operations to support the Directorate of Guidance and Inspection's functional requirements. Core daily responsibilities involve drafting and processing purchase orders, supplier coordination, and ensuring adherence to public procurement laws and internal corporate regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor inventory and service demands and secure quotations.
- Evaluate different supplier proposals and supervise delivery timelines to guarantee efficient and cost-effective procurement.
- Maintain precise procurement documentation and analyze purchasing data to assist budgeting and forecasting.
- Engage collaboratively with internal departments to clarify procurement specifications and resolve related issues.
- Maintain continuous communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders to promote transparency, uphold quality, and ensure procurement value.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven understanding of purchasing workflows and purchase order management, particularly within public sector or regulated procurement contexts.
- Skillful preparation and review of purchase orders focusing on accuracy, compliance, and timely processing.
- Strong analytical capabilities to compare supplier bids and evaluate total cost implications facilitating data-based decisions.
- Effective communication skills for cooperation with internal teams and suppliers, along with clear documentation of procurement actions.
- Experience in procurement, supply chain management, purchasing, or administrative support roles, ideally in government or public institutions.
- Familiarity with procurement or ERP software platforms and proficiency with standard office software including word processors, spreadsheets, and email.
- Excellent organizational aptitude, dependability in meeting deadlines, and capacity to work autonomously in a remote setup.
- Post-secondary education in business administration, economics, public administration, supply chain management, or related studies is advantageous.
- Understanding of ethical principles, transparency imperatives, and accountability protocols within public sector procurement.
