Overview
The Tenant Provisioning Team, part of the Identity and Access Management domain, focuses on creating secure and governed mechanisms for provisioning and managing tenants within the Entra ID ecosystem. We are seeking an experienced Principal Software Engineer who excels in distributed system design and building scalable, mission-critical services. In this position, you will provide strong technical leadership in defining resilient architectures, mentoring engineers, and promoting innovation and high standards. You will adeptly tackle complex problems, manage cross-team collaboration, and champion best practices in security, reliability, and service maintainability. Your expertise will help anticipate challenges, develop effective approaches, and drive collaboration on features impacting millions of users.

Responsibilities
- Architect and implement large-scale distributed software systems with an AI-first mindset.
- Develop industry-leading engineering solutions ensuring service components are modular, secure, reliable, diagnosable, well-monitored, and reusable.
- Understand Microsoft business domains and cooperate with mentors and leaders to deliver unified, end-to-end user experiences.
- Troubleshoot and enhance automation, reliability, and monitoring in LiveSite environments.
- Prioritize customer and partner requirements through data-informed decision-making.
- Enforce and promote contemporary software engineering standards via comprehensive design reviews.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
- Proficiency coding in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Python or equivalent experience in software engineering.
- Experience contributing to LiveSite teams with active participation in on-call rotations.
- Capability to collaborate effectively with global teams across different time zones.
Additional Requirements
Candidates must satisfy Microsoft and government security screening protocols, including Microsoft Cloud Background Checks, conducted upon hire and biennially thereafter.
Compensation and Benefits
The standard base salary range for this role in Ireland is €99,800 to €172,400 annually, with eligibility for additional benefits and compensation depending on the role specifics.
