Principal IT & Digital - Energy Practice

Position Overview

We are looking for a Principal in IT & Digital to join a prominent consulting firm, partnering closely with senior leadership across the Energy sector—specifically Oil & Gas and Petrochemicals. This senior consulting leadership position centers on designing and executing IT strategies, digital transformation initiatives, technology architecture, cloud, data, and AI-driven solutions to deliver enduring business value.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise C-level and senior client leaders on IT strategy, digital transformation, and technology-driven business reinvention.
• Lead and oversee complex IT transformation projects from conception to completion.
• Design and develop IT strategies, operating frameworks, digital platforms, architectures, and technical solutions.
• Provide expertise across IT/Digital Architecture, Cloud technologies, Data management, and Artificial Intelligence.
• Lead, mentor, and cultivate high-performing consulting teams, encouraging knowledge exchange and career growth.
• Oversee project quality, mitigate risks, align client expectations, and manage senior escalation issues.
• Serve as a trusted technology consultant and innovation thought leader for clients.
• Contribute actively to expanding the Energy practice through business development, thought leadership, and enhancing the firm’s digital and AI presence.

Candidate Requirements

• 8 to 12+ years of experience in IT or technology consulting and digital transformation engagements.
• Proven background in the Energy sector, with emphasis on Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, or analogous industries.
• Demonstrated success in executing large-scale IT transformation programs.
• Strong proficiency in IT/Digital Architecture as well as Cloud, Data, and AI technologies.
• Outstanding leadership, stakeholder engagement, and client management capabilities.
• Experience managing and nurturing dynamic consulting teams to high achievement.
• Exceptional academic credentials.
• Strategic thinker who can also execute hands-on delivery effectively.

Ideal Experience

Candidates at Senior Manager, Principal, Associate Partner, or equivalent roles from leading management or technology consulting firms with significant Energy sector exposure are highly preferred.
