About the Role
Join our Market Services Trade Validation team and contribute to the transformation of our post-trade platform. We are building a digital-first post-trade lifecycle by collaborating with business stakeholders and leveraging modern cloud-based and AI-powered technologies. Our goal is to minimize manual processes, enable controls closer to trade execution, and validate data at its origin.

Role Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on engineering leadership to influence the architecture, technical direction, and delivery of a large-scale financial platform while regularly contributing code.
- Review code submissions, design microservices architectures, mentor team members, enhance code quality, and promote standard engineering practices.
- Balance technical contributions with leadership duties, simplify complex problems, empower engineers towards ownership, manage delivery risks, and steer the team towards high-quality decision-making with autonomy.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess extensive practical software engineering experience with significant expertise in Java/JVM and a proven history of delivering complex, critical business platforms.
- Demonstrate advanced coding skills in Java (version 17 or higher) and JavaScript, including experience with Spring Boot 3.x, Spring Cloud, and Spring Security frameworks.
- Skilled in designing distributed systems, scalable microservice architectures, backend platforms, and API-driven integrations.
- Experienced in cloud-native development, preferably using AWS, with proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, observability, and building resilient systems.
- Familiarity with data and messaging tools such as PostgreSQL, Redis, MSSQL, Apache Kafka, AWS SQS/SNS, and REST APIs.
- Proven leadership capabilities in mentoring, team development, and fostering a culture of trust, clarity, ownership, and accountability.
- Strong architectural judgement capable of making sound technical decisions, managing risk, and clarifying ambiguous challenges.
- Experience with AI-assisted programming or agentic AI tool integration, including platforms like GitHub Copilot or AWS Bedrock.
- Effective stakeholder management skills to align technical strategies with business priorities, commercial goals, and operational stability.
- Background in financial markets, post-trade processing, OTC derivatives, or agentic AI systems is highly preferred.
