Role Overview
As the Pricing Director, you will steer the pricing strategy for Redcare Pharmacy's retail operations, integrating commercial insights, advanced analytics, and technology. Your role focuses on refining pricing models to enhance profitability, revenue, and competitive customer pricing at a large e-commerce scale. Furthermore, you will oversee pricing strategies related to the marketplace and proprietary brands.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and evolve the retail pricing strategy balancing profitability, revenue growth, and market competitiveness, driving measurable commercial results.
- Implement a scientific pricing methodology using rigorous experimentation, A/B testing, modeling, and validation to quantify the effects of pricing decisions.
- Develop frameworks and decision systems to enable dynamic, real-time pricing responsive to customer behavior and market shifts.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with senior leaders in Category Management, Country Management, Data & AI, Controlling, Marketing, Procurement, Tech, and Product teams to align pricing strategy with business goals.
- Lead and mentor a growing team of more than nine pricing professionals, uphold high analytical standards, and represent pricing strategy at senior leadership and board levels.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 10 years of experience in B2C e-commerce pricing with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity, ideally involving large-scale digital commerce platforms with millions of active users.
- Strong strategic acumen combined with advanced analytical skills, grounded in quantitative disciplines such as mathematics, analytics, or data science, allowing critical evaluation of pricing methodologies and data-driven decision-making.
- Experienced in dynamic pricing within high-volume e-commerce settings, with proven success in applying complex pricing strategies and analytics to significantly enhance revenue, profitability, or customer price competitiveness.
- Capable of influencing across diverse business units and executive levels while maintaining close involvement in analytical details to effectively challenge and guide the pricing team.
- Fluency in English is required, with German language skills considered advantageous but not essential.
