Role Overview

The Microsoft Cloud Platform Practice Architect holds a senior technical leadership position within the Microsoft Practice team. This role guides the architecture, delivery, and evolution of solutions based on Microsoft Cloud technologies, playing a central role in developing best practices, shaping methodologies, supporting offerings, and collaborating closely with significant clients to achieve transformative business results.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a subject matter expert on Microsoft Azure technologies including Frontier partner/Foundary and IQ workloads.
• Stay informed on the latest Microsoft technology advancements and promote their adoption within the practice.
• Lead integration of Azure cloud capabilities into solution delivery to improve client workflows and business outcomes.
• Develop, document, and continuously enhance methodologies and best practices for Microsoft Azure implementations.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and product managers to maintain quality and consistency across projects.
• Champion internal training and foster a culture encouraging continuous learning and innovation.
• Contribute to creating and refining Microsoft Azure offerings, partnering with product and delivery teams.
• Pilot new technologies as a “Customer Zero,” testing and improving offerings before mass deployment.
• Support presales activities with solution architecture and technical leadership for strategic opportunities.
• Engage directly with key customers as a trusted advisor, facilitating their Microsoft cloud transformation journeys.
• Lead workshops, architecture reviews, and executive briefings for high-impact engagements.
• Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction and tangible business value through delivery excellence.
• Collaborate with Microsoft and other strategic partners to co-create solutions and drive mutual success.
• Represent Softchoice at industry events, sharing thought leadership and advancing best practices.
• Advocate for ongoing improvement and early adoption of emerging cloud technologies.

Required Qualifications

• Extensive expertise in Microsoft Azure solutions.
• Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise-level Microsoft solutions.
• Experience in co-working environments, skills development, and deploying Microsoft technologies.
• Strong track record in methodology development, technical leadership, and driving innovation.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Experience collaborating with Microsoft and global partners.
• Committed to continuous professional development and learning.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant technical experience, preferably with Microsoft technologies.

Compensation and Benefits

Estimated base salary in Canada ranges from 120,800 to 151,000 CAD annually, with an additional 14% target incentive. Actual pay depends on location, experience, skills, education, and certifications.
