Role Impact and Responsibilities

The Microsoft Cloud Platform Practice Architect is a senior technical leader within our Microsoft Practice, accountable for leading the design, delivery, and continual improvement of Microsoft Cloud technology solutions. This position plays a critical part in developing methodologies, establishing best practices, supporting product offerings, and working closely with high-value clients to achieve transformative business results.

  • Act as a subject matter expert on Microsoft Azure, including Frontier partner/Foundary and IQ workloads.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging Microsoft Cloud trends and innovations, promoting their adoption across the practice.
  • Lead the integration of cloud capabilities into solution deliveries, optimizing customer workflows and results.
  • Develop, document, and enhance methodologies and best practices for Microsoft Azure solutions in coordination with architects, engineers, and product managers to maintain consistency and quality.
  • Champion internal training and foster a culture of learning and innovation.
  • Support the creation and evolution of Microsoft Azure offerings by collaborating with product management and delivery teams.
  • Serve as a pilot customer (“Customer Zero”) for new technologies, testing and refining offerings prior to broad deployment.
  • Provide presales expertise, solution architecture, and technical leadership on strategic opportunities.
  • Engage directly with key strategic clients as a trusted advisor guiding their Microsoft transformation journeys.
  • Lead solution workshops, architecture reviews, and executive briefings for critical projects.
  • Ensure outstanding customer satisfaction and measurable business impact through superior delivery.
  • Collaborate with Microsoft and strategic partners to co-develop joint solutions and drive success.
  • Represent Softchoice/WWT at industry events to share thought leadership and best practices.
  • Advocate for ongoing improvements and early adoption of emerging Microsoft technologies.

Candidate Profile

  • Extensive expertise in Microsoft Azure cloud solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering complex Microsoft solutions for enterprise-level customers.
  • Strong background in coworking, skill development, and technology deployment.
  • Proven history of developing methodologies, leading technical teams, and fostering innovation.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Experience partnering with Microsoft and other global technology collaborators.
  • A strong commitment to continuous professional growth and learning.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in technical roles, preferably focused on Microsoft technologies.

Compensation and Benefits

The approximate annual base salary range for this role in Canada is between $120,800 and $151,000, plus a target incentive of 14%. Actual compensation will be determined based on location, relevant experience, skill set, educational background, and certifications. Salary ranges may vary by geographic location.
