Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance inspections to detect signs of wear.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and help with necessary repairs.
• Review and evaluate farm facilities, machinery, and infrastructure for safety and regulatory compliance.
• Complete pre-operation checks on farm machinery before daily use.
• Keep detailed records of maintenance work, repairs, and servicing activities.
• Perform minor fixes, adjustments, and component replacements on equipment such as feeding systems, ventilation units, and machinery to avoid operational interruptions.
• Ensure strict compliance with animal welfare standards and biosecurity measures at all times.

Requirements

• Prior experience in a maintenance capacity is highly desirable.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
• Capability in maintaining accurate documentation and supporting data analysis for farm operations.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with colleagues, suppliers, and stakeholders.
• Ability to operate independently or as part of a team.
• Applicants must not have poultry, birds, or pigs at home or regular contact with these animals due to biosecurity protocols.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Australia.
