Job Overview

The Porter plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and safety standards throughout the warehouse facility, ensuring that all areas are free from hazards for both customers and employees. This includes adhering to sanitation protocols and the company9s HACCP program guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform sweeping of both interior and exterior building areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of all restrooms within the facility.
• Clean windows, doors, and the coffee station as required.
• Manage and maintain trash containers across the premises.
• Operate equipment such as the trash compactor, cardboard baler, and floor scrubbing machine when necessary.
• Promptly address cleanup of any spills in the warehouse environment.
• Take care of general tidiness in employee break rooms according to schedule.
• Support department managers in aisle cleaning tasks when needed.
• Ensure daily verification and maintenance of sanitation logs and compliance with HACCP standards.
• Assist management with additional tasks including minor facility upkeep like paint touch-ups, lighting maintenance, and cleaning of wet pallets.

Job Requirements

• Effective communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of sanitation standards and procedures.
• Familiarity with operating floor maintenance machinery such as balers, compactors, and scrubbers is beneficial.
• Physical ability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
