Role Overview
The Pool & Beach Supervisor is charged with managing day-to-day operations of the resort’s swimming pool and beach facilities. This role ensures impeccable cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction while leading a team of attendants and lifeguards. The supervisor also coordinates with various departments to deliver seamless services and maintain high standards.
Key Duties
- Oversee daily activities around the pool and beach areas to maintain operational excellence.
- Lead, inspire, and train pool and beach staff including lifeguards, monitoring their performance continuously.
- Keep all pool and beach environments tidy, safe, and visually appealing at all times.
- Regularly inspect all related facilities such as sun loungers, umbrellas, cabanas, showers, and changing rooms.
- Ensure proper upkeep, storage, and safe use of all pool and beach equipment.
- Monitor and test pool water quality adhering strictly to hotel and regulatory standards.
- Maintain continuous lifeguard coverage and enforce safety protocols throughout operational hours.
- Oversee guest conduct to prevent unsafe activities and intervene when necessary.
- Enforce compliance with all safety, emergency, hygiene, and operating guidelines.
- Welcome guests and provide information regarding pool and beach amenities and services.
- Assist guests with their needs including allocation of sun loungers, towels, umbrellas, and cabanas.
- Address and resolve guest inquiries and complaints professionally and promptly.
- Work collaboratively with Housekeeping, Engineering, Security, and Recreation teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Report maintenance concerns, equipment faults, or safety hazards immediately to appropriate departments.
- Manage inventory levels of towels, amenities, cleaning supplies, and operational gear, reporting shortages or damages.
- Conduct daily briefings to communicate updates and operational priorities to team members.
- Prepare staff schedules and assign duties in accordance with operational demands.
- Execute correct opening and closing protocols for pool and beach zones.
- Keep detailed records of water testing, incidents, maintenance, lost and found, and other relevant activities.
- Document and report any incidents or accidents following hotel procedures immediately.
- Collaborate with Security during emergencies to ensure guest and staff safety.
