Opportunity Overview
We are seeking a Planner to be part of our building team based in County Carlow. This role offers the chance to collaborate with a skilled team on some of Ireland's most significant and dynamic construction and civil engineering projects. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage project schedules using tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or Asta.
- Track and analyze project progress, providing accurate and timely monitoring and reporting.
- Coordinate project timelines with site management, design teams, and subcontractors.
- Maintain and update contract programmes to ensure alignment with project requirements.
- Monitor subcontractor progress and develop key performance indicators.
- Interpret drawings and specifications to measure quantities and compile progress reports.
- Support integration of schedules into Building Information Modelling (BIM) through 4D planning techniques.
- Offer strategic advice aimed at safeguarding project development and growth.
- Collaborate flexibly within a team environment, supporting work allocation as needs arise.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a relevant degree or diploma in engineering or an equivalent qualification.
- At least two years of prior experience in a planning capacity, preferably within the building construction sector with main contractor exposure.
- Thorough knowledge of construction methods, sequencing practices, and lead times.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Technically adept, confident in interpreting drawings, specifications, Bills of Quantities, critical path programming, and network analysis.
- Capable of working effectively under pressure to meet stringent deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within an integrated team setting.
- Highly detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
- Proactive mindset with a focus on identifying solutions.
- Possess a valid full driving licence.
- Eligibility to work in Ireland and fluent in English.
