About the Role
Mount Isa Mines, one of the world’s largest mining complexes located in Mount Isa, Queensland, is seeking a Planner - Maintenance to join their Queensland Metallurgical Operations Maintenance Department. This key role entails planning short-term plant maintenance activities to improve asset reliability and operational efficiency, while complying with regulatory and safety standards. The position requires working on a residential roster of 5 days on/2 days off followed by 4 days on/3 days off, with 9-hour shifts.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver weekly maintenance schedules utilizing SAP for maintenance execution teams.
- Ensure procurement and availability of parts, resources, and materials to meet scheduled maintenance demands.
- Promote and mentor team members on the Maintenance Work Management process.
- Collaborate with supervisors and management to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Maintain and safeguard all maintenance records in SAP in accordance with established standards.
Qualifications and Experience
- Trade Certificate, Mechanical or Electrical Trade Qualification, or qualification in Asset Management.
- Proven experience in maintenance planning and scheduling within mining, heavy industry, manufacturing, or similar asset-intensive sectors.
- Competence in SAP or a similar Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Strong understanding of maintenance work management principles, mining legislation, statutory compliance, and workplace health and safety.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, and Project for data analysis and maintenance management.
