Planner - Building Construction Specialist

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Create and manage project schedules using Primavera P6, MS Project, or Asta.
• Track, measure, and report on project progress, coordinating schedules across site management, design teams, and contractors.
• Maintain contractual programme compliance, monitor subcontractor progress, and develop key performance indicators.
• Generate progress reports by measuring quantities from drawings.
• Support integration of schedules with BIM models for 4D planning capabilities.
• Provide strategic advice fostering safety, growth, and development.
• Collaborate flexibly as part of an integrated team.

Candidate Profile

• Degree or Diploma in Engineering or equivalent qualification required.
• A minimum of two years’ experience in planning, preferably within the building construction main contractor sector.
• Thorough knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and process lead times.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Technically adept at reading drawings, specifications, bills of quantities, and conducting critical path and network analysis.
• Capable of handling pressure and meeting deadlines efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork orientation.
• Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
• Proactive problem-solving mindset.
• Holds a full driving licence.
• Authorized to work in Ireland with fluency in English.
