About the Role
The Samalkha Group of Institutions seeks an energetic and well-networked Placement Officer tasked with securing job and internship placements for students, focusing primarily on final-year cohorts. This role requires outreach to companies, cultivating robust industry ties, and converting these connections into concrete placement and internship opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy existing relationships and conduct frequent outreach to place final-year students in appropriate companies.
- Engage proactively with HR departments, recruiters, talent acquisition teams, and hiring managers to generate new placement possibilities.
- Utilize established professional networks to organize campus placement drives, both on-site and virtual.
- Identify companies recruiting fresh graduates and establish direct communication channels.
- Arrange placement drives, internships, and maintain an expanding database of corporate contacts.
- Facilitate communication regarding job descriptions, eligibility, salary details, interview procedures, and onboarding requirements.
- Coordinate student participation and handle follow-ups until recruitment completion.
- Maintain detailed records of company engagement and student placement progress.
- Collaborate with academic departments to align student skills with industry needs and offer feedback for improvement.
- Represent the institution professionally in corporate and industry events.
- Strive to meet institutional placement and internship goals consistently.
Candidate Profile
- Preferably possesses prior experience in college placements, corporate relations, recruitment, talent acquisition, HR, staffing, or industry relations.
- Has a robust network of HR professionals, recruiters, and corporate decision-makers.
- Demonstrates proven ability to create employment opportunities through corporate connections.
- Exhibits strong skills in corporate outreach, networking, negotiation, and relationship management.
- Comfortable with cold calling, emailing, social media outreach, and conducting corporate meetings.
- Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong follow-up and coordination skills with a target-driven mindset and ownership of outcomes.
- Experience with fresher recruitment or working with academic institutions is advantageous.
