Physical Security Officer

Role Purpose

The Physical Security Officer is responsible for ensuring an effective and compliant service for employees, contractors, and visitors regarding airport pass requirements, to meet operational and business goals.

Key Accountabilities

• Facilitate and complete all necessary tasks to support applicants in timely receipt of required airport passes.
• Assist applicants with filling out applications and securing required supporting documents, verifying that all paperwork complies with current regulations and policies.
• Enforce correct procedures for all types of airport security and related passes, staying updated with any changes and revising internal processes accordingly.
• Coordinate with key stakeholders such as Police, Airport Pass Offices, and airport authorities; track application progress and maintain regular communication with applicants to inform them.
• Maintain and update databases, records, and trackers, ensuring adherence to operational, statutory, audit standards and policies, with complete data accuracy.
• Operate efficiently in compliance with office systems, standards, policies, and procedures.
• Handle telephone communications professionally and promptly, redirecting or taking messages when needed.
• Comply with all applicable information security policies and attend related awareness sessions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by senior management.

Qualifications & Experience

• At least 2 years experience in data processing and administrative roles.
• Familiarity with government pass application procedures, both online and manual.
• Understanding of airport security standards, including physical access controls.
• Experience within the aviation sector preferred.
• Knowledge of administration and management in large organizations.
