• Strong analytical abilities and critical thinking aptitude.
• Excellent proficiency in written communication enabling clear, concise, and constructive manuscript feedback.
• Effective time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
• A firm commitment to maintaining confidentiality and unbiased objectivity throughout the review process.
• Prior experience as a peer reviewer for scholarly journals is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with online manuscript submission platforms and review systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess originality and scientific contribution of submitted manuscripts to the field of transportation engineering.
• Critically evaluate the appropriateness and rigor of study design and methodologies detailed in manuscripts.
• Verify that literature reviews within manuscripts are thorough and cite pertinent, current research.
• Analyze the clarity and validity of presented results and conclusions, ensuring they are data-supported and relevant.
• Offer constructive recommendations highlighting strengths, identifying deficiencies, and addressing ethical considerations.
• Provide assessment reports that assist editors in determining manuscript acceptance, revision, or rejection decisions.
