In this pharmacist role, reporting to the Pharmacy Manager, you will be responsible for accurate preparation, dispensing, and delivery of prescriptions in a timely manner. You will maintain sufficient inventory to fulfill patients' needs effectively and provide patient counseling with proper documentation. Engaging positively and proactively with both internal colleagues and customers, you will help raise awareness about health through public relations activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare, dispense, and control medications to patients in a timely fashion
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels of medications and over-the-counter supplements to meet patient demand
- Offer patient counseling regarding new and ongoing medications with a friendly and proactive approach
- Promote health awareness and educate customers via public health events and clinics
- Provide prompt and effective resolutions to patient needs and address doctors’ queries or concerns
- Monitor and manage costs throughout the pharmacy operations
- Deliver ongoing training and support for new and existing pharmacy team members including technicians, interns, and students
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy with a valid Class A Pharmacists license required
- Exceptional customer service skills combined with professional conduct
- Strong leadership abilities and experience managing team performance
- Demonstrated success using community-based marketing strategies to grow the business
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Effective problem-solving skills with experience in developing and implementing action plans
- Proficient computer skills; familiarity with Healthwatch and/or KROLL pharmacy systems is advantageous
Compensation and Additional Information
This position offers an hourly wage from $50.15 to $64.90, reflecting candidates' experience, knowledge, and location.
