Job description
Job Overview
We are seeking a qualified, customer-oriented Pharmacist to join our team in Doha, Qatar. The candidate should have relevant post-registration experience in pharmacy and must satisfy the licensing criteria set by the Qatar Ministry of Public Health (MoPH/DHP).
Primary Duties
- Precisely and safely dispense medications according to prescriptions and regulatory guidelines.
- Offer professional guidance to customers on medication usage, dosage, safety precautions, and possible drug interactions.
- Examine prescriptions to verify correct medication dispensing.
- Maintain thorough and accurate pharmacy records and documentation.
- Assist with inventory management, monitoring stock levels, and controlling expiry dates.
- Provide high-quality customer service and foster strong patient and customer relations.
- Adhere to established pharmacy procedures, professional ethics, and healthcare regulations in Qatar.
- Keep the pharmacy environment tidy, well-organized, and professional.
- Adapt to flexible retail and shift work schedules effectively.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Must possess a Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) degree; a Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) is an added advantage.
- A valid Pharmacist License issued by Qatar Ministry of Public Health (MoPH/DHP) is preferred.
- Candidates holding BPharm or MPharm degrees who have completed the necessary DHP evaluation and meet licensing eligibility will also be considered.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant pharmacy experience following registration with the pharmacy council.
- Experience in community or retail pharmacy settings is preferred.
- MPharm holders should have at least 2 years of post-registration experience; completion of Prometric/N.P.Q.E. exams is preferred.
- BPharm holders must have minimum 2 years post-registration experience and have qualified Prometric/N.P.Q.E.
- Prometric, DataFlow, and MoPH/DHP eligibility are mandatory.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills are required.
- Candidates must currently reside in Qatar and hold a transferable residence permit or visa.
- Willingness to work flexible retail and shift-based schedules is essential.
