Pest Control Technician

About the Role

Are you passionate about being outdoors and taking proactive steps to prevent pest problems? We're looking for a dependable and motivated individual to be the frontline defender in pest management, delivering expert advice and reliable service to our customers.

This position covers areas including Whanganui, Palmerston North, and nearby regions, with work scheduled Monday to Friday. A company vehicle will be provided to assist with your daily travel requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed inspections to detect pest presence and develop appropriate treatment strategies.
• Apply pest control treatments and educate customers on prevention and control methods.
• Spot hygiene and environmental hazards to promote safer and healthier environments.
• Complete accurate digital service reports after each visit.
• Deliver professional and exceptional customer service consistently.
• Identify chances to suggest additional services that provide value to customers.

Candidate Requirements

• Permanent full-time work authorization in New Zealand.
• Possession of a full, clean driver's license and a clean criminal record.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Physical fitness with an emphasis on health and safety.
• Comfortable working outside in various weather conditions.
• Self-driven with excellent time management abilities.
• High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards.
• Confidence in using mobile applications and technology.
• Willingness to travel and stay overnight if necessary.
• Experience with pest control methods and regulations is advantageous.

Preferred Qualifications

• New Zealand Certificate in Pest Operations - Urban Pest Control.
• Current New Zealand firearms license.
• Licenses and experience for working at heights and elevated work platforms.
• Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle.

Additional Information
