Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Payroll Specialist to join our Dublin 2 team. This role offers an excellent chance for a dedicated payroll professional experienced in complete payroll processing to advance their career. The ideal candidate will be well-organized, detail-focused, and able to work efficiently both independently and in a team within a fast-moving environment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Supervise and assist the payroll team to ensure payroll is processed timely and accurately, aligning with policies and legislation.
  • Handle all matters related to Revenue, including RPN management, payroll submissions, and ERR submissions.
  • Administer the quarterly EHEC CSO data submissions.
  • Perform weekly and monthly payroll and Revenue reconciliations to maintain compliance and precision.
  • Prepare banking payment files and generate precise payroll reports for the Finance department.
  • Provide support handling payroll-related inquiries from stores, ensuring reliable information is communicated.
  • Administer pension activities and coordinate with pension providers as necessary.
  • Resolve payroll issues such as payslip inquiries related to Tax, PRSI, and USC with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Manage all payroll-related correspondence, including Social Welfare applications and salary certificates.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate records underpinning payroll activities.
  • Engage in projects like payroll system enhancements or improving payroll processes.
  • Assist in both internal and external audits by supplying well-organized documentation and reports.
  • Coordinate with HR, Finance, and other Head Office units to monitor changes in business operations, contracts, or payroll-related legislation.

Candidate Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in a professional payroll position.
  • Possession of an IPASS or equivalent payroll qualification is highly advantageous.
  • Proven experience managing multi-entity or large-scale payrolls within Ireland.
  • Thorough knowledge of Irish and UK payroll laws and statutory reporting duties, including pension schemes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication capabilities to liaise effectively with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated skills in problem-solving and coaching.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and work autonomously as required.
  • Advanced computer skills, especially proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office suite.
  • Experience with Oracle HCM, Payroll, and Discoverer systems is preferred.
  • Exceptional attention to detail coupled with strong numerical competency.
  • Competent analytical and reporting skills to interpret data and deliver clear presentations.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality.
