Job description
Position Overview
We are immediately seeking a Payroll Specialist (Lohnbuchhalter/in) (m/w/d) for full-time employment at our office located in 97633 Sulzfeld, Bavaria, Germany.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain master data in ADP GV, including updating and coordinating company pension scheme (BAV) contracts and recording absences.
- Manage recurring lists such as pension schemes, absences, company vehicles, vacations, garnishments, and benefits in kind.
- Prepare monthly reconciliations for SOX controls using tools like PowerBI and upload control documents into Auditboard.
- Serve as liaison with ADP for creating and following up on service tickets.
- Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll and related topics.
- Complete social security filings through SV-AG reporting portal and send reports concerning severely disabled employees via Elan system.
- Calculate accruals for vacation and overtime as well as allocate monthly personnel cost charges.
- Communicate and coordinate with all HR departments throughout Germany.
- Generate monthly payroll and salary statements for employees.
- Ensure compliance with deadlines and corporate process requirements.
- Act as the primary contact for external audits such as tax and social security inspections, providing documentation for financial audits.
- Manage and be the point of contact for all personal records regarding company pension schemes, insurances, and employee benefits.
- Prepare lump-sum wage tax calculations.
- Generate ad hoc statistics as required.
- Perform tasks related to year-end closing activities.
- Coordinate with the General Ledger team related to account reconciliations.
- Presence on-site is required; remote work is possible only occasionally.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Successfully completed vocational training in a commercial profession or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years professional experience in payroll accounting.
- Strong expertise in all relevant payroll areas including social security contributions.
- Good IT skills with proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Basic understanding of financial accounting.
- Excellent teamwork, communication skills, and responsibility.
- Organizational ability, autonomy, reliability, and flexibility in daily work.
- Professional handling of sensitive business and personal data.
- Fluent German and advanced English language skills are mandatory.
