About the Role
A growing company based in Killarney, County Kerry seeks a meticulous Payroll Specialist to become an integral part of its finance team. The successful candidate will efficiently manage the weekly payroll process for multiple group companies and provide valuable assistance to the wider accounting department.
Responsibilities
- Manage the entire weekly payroll process ensuring accuracy and adherence to Irish employment laws and tax regulations.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of employees, including timesheets and tracking of annual and sick leave.
- Prepare and submit all mandatory payroll filings via the Revenue Online Service (ROS).
- Serve as the primary contact to address employee payroll inquiries promptly and confidentially.
- Assist in accounts payable operations, handling a large volume of invoices, processing supplier payments, and resolving vendor queries.
- Conduct regular reconciliations involving bank statements, payroll reports, and ledger entries.
- Support finance team activities for month-end closing, annual reporting, and audit readiness.
- Ensure proper maintenance of both physical and digital files to meet reporting and compliance standards.
Requirements
- Demonstrable practical experience in Irish payroll management and general accounting support functions.
- Strong understanding of up-to-date Irish payroll legislation and familiarity with the Revenue Online Service (ROS).
- Competency with commonly used payroll software packages.
