About Qscan Group and Role Overview
Join the respected and expanding healthcare organisation, Qscan Group, as a Payroll Officer. This key role ensures the workforce is compensated accurately, punctually, and in alignment with legal and award standards. You'll be part of a collaborative payroll and People & Culture team supporting operational excellence across a national, multi-site environment.
Primary Duties
- Execute end-to-end processing of fortnightly payroll for over 1,400 employees using systems like iChris.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate payroll records including allowances, deductions, and leave entitlements.
- Interpret and apply Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements related to payroll.
- Address employee inquiries regarding payroll promptly and accurately.
- Calculate termination payments and final settlements.
- Assist with monthly superannuation processing and payroll reconciliation activities.
- Complete month-end payroll closing and generate reports.
- Process and reconcile payroll deductions and timesheets, ensuring compliance with relevant awards.
- Collaborate with the Payroll Manager to improve payroll processes and support other payroll functions.
Candidate Profile
- Proven track record handling end-to-end payroll in organisations with multiple locations.
- Experience with payroll systems iChris (preferred) and HumanForce (advantageous).
- Comprehensive understanding of Australian payroll legislation and award interpretations.
- Strong analytical capabilities with keen attention to detail.
- Background in the healthcare sector and understanding of corresponding awards is valuable.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with a focus on excellent customer service.
Work Environment and Additional Information
The role is based at the Clayfield Support Office in Brisbane, offering permanent full-time employment with initial onsite onboarding followed by hybrid work flexibility.
