Overview
Gold Fields Australia invites applications for the role of Paste Fill Operator at Invincible St Ives Gold Mine to support two recently established Paste Plants. This position reports to the Paste Fill Coordinator and is part of the Underground Production Team.
Role Responsibilities
- Install underground paste fill infrastructure including paste walls, reticulation systems, instrumentation, compressed air, ventilation, water, and dewatering pipe systems according to specifications and schedules.
- Operate and maintain the paste plant efficiently and safely.
- Conduct quality assurance and quality control of paste fill samples to ensure service standards.
- Maintain excellent housekeeping standards in the paste plant, equipment cabins, crib rooms, workshops, and work areas to promote a safe work environment.
- Use machinery and equipment safely to fulfill operational tasks.
- Attend work fit for duty during rostered days, accurately complete all relevant pre-starts, workplace inspections, and necessary documentation.
- Maintain consistent communication with the Paste Fill Coordinator or Mine Management to report issues impacting safety or production efficiency.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience in underground mining operations, specifically in operating paste plants or similar infrastructure.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to handling and caring for mobile equipment.
- Possession of a valid manual C class driving license.
- Current accreditation for working at heights.
- First Aid Certification is advantageous.
Employment Details
This is a full-time onsite role on an 8 days on/6 days off roster, with 12-hour shifts. The position is FIFO from Perth or residential in Kambalda or Kalgoorlie. Daily bus transportation to and from the site is provided. Relocation assistance is available for successful applicants.
