Overview

Tesla Motors is seeking a knowledgeable Parts Advisor to join their team supporting one of the most innovative vehicle brands globally. This role demands strong customer service skills along with basic technical support capabilities related to vehicle parts. The position involves some travel as directed by management and offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge electric vehicle technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to phone calls, emails, and walk-in customer inquiries, delivering attentive and thorough service.
  • Follow up on missed communications without delay to ensure no customer concern is overlooked.
  • Manage inventory by receiving stock, preparing shipments, and processing materials essential for vehicle servicing.
  • Enter parts transaction data meticulously into Dealer Management Systems, emphasizing accuracy.
  • Guide customers through order processes and provide clear summaries of their transactions.
  • Address and escalate packaging or delivery issues with suppliers to resolve inbound shipment problems efficiently.
  • Keep detailed records of time, expenses, and material usage.
  • Provide customers with updates on parts shipping and delivery timelines and follow up to confirm satisfaction with orders.
  • Perform additional related duties as required.
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean service center environment.
  • Manage multiple tasks effectively, organize workload, and meet assigned deadlines consistently.

Candidate Profile

  • Familiarity with vehicle maintenance parts, tools, materials, and repair techniques.
  • Basic understanding of automotive repair and servicing procedures.
  • Experience with automotive equipment and service methods.
  • Proficiency with Dealer Management Systems (DMS), SAP, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Between 1 to 3 years of experience in the automotive industry.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with capability to adhere to instructions accurately.
  • Ability to build and maintain cooperative relationships with colleagues and customers.
  • Maintain exemplary professional integrity and presentational standards as a parts advisor.
  • Previous experience in dealer automotive services is advantageous.
