Job description
About the Position
Join Deutsche Post DHL as a Package Sorter at the Merseburg distribution center. This role involves organizing parcels efficiently to ensure timely delivery, contributing directly to our mission of connecting people and improving lives.
Compensation and Work Schedule
- Hourly wage of €16.42, which is significantly above the minimum wage
- Paid onboarding with guidance from experienced colleagues
- Starting mid-October, working approximately 15 hours per week until December 24, 2026
- Workdays are Tuesday through Saturday, with shifts approximately from 6:30 AM to 9:30 AM
- Provided personal protective equipment including safety shoes and gloves at no cost
Key Responsibilities
- Sort packages by postal code, street, and house number using a handheld scanner
- Retrieve incoming containers for processing
- Empty compartments and transport mail containers as required
Candidate Profile
- Dependable and motivated to contribute actively
- Physically capable and enjoys hands-on labor
- Competent in German communication
- Enjoys working collaboratively within a team environment
