Oracle CPQ Developer / Consultant

Job Overview

The Oracle CPQ Developer / Consultant will be tasked with designing, configuring, developing, and maintaining Oracle Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) solutions. This position supports intricate product configuration, pricing, quoting, and ordering workflows, collaborating closely with Sales, Commerce, IT, and ERP/CRM teams to ensure scalable, efficient, and compliant quote-to-order processes.

Technical Expertise

• Over 8 years of comprehensive experience with Oracle CPQ Cloud, including implementation, configuration, development, and ongoing support
• Expertise in BML (BigMachines Language) scripting
• Knowledge of pricing rules, discount logics, commerce actions, and layouts
• Familiarity with Document Designer and XSL for document customization
• Proficient understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and XML
• Strong grasp of Quote to Cash and Quote to Order workflows

Functional and Business Knowledge

• Experience collaborating with Sales, Pricing, Finance, and Operations teams
• Ability to translate complex business needs into efficient CPQ configurations
• Understanding of large-scale enterprise commerce workflows
• Preferred certifications include Oracle CPQ Implementation Specialist
• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle Cloud ERP, SAP) and CRM integrations is advantageous

Key Responsibilities

• Configure Oracle CPQ product models, attributes, rules, constraints, and validations
• Develop BML scripts to implement advanced pricing, discounting, defaulting, validation, and commerce actions
• Create and maintain commerce rules such as validation, hide, filter, and constraint rules
• Design and implement complex pricing structures including volume pricing, promotional pricing, discount thresholds, and approval workflows
• Customize Document Designer templates for customer quotes, proposals, and order forms including XSL/PDF outputs
• Integrate Oracle CPQ with CRM systems (like Salesforce), ERP/order management, and external services via REST APIs and Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC)
• Facilitate seamless quote-to-order data flows covering accounts, products, pricing, orders, and attachments
• Manage CPQ environments including Development, System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Pre-Production, and Production
• Participate in quarterly Oracle CPQ upgrades and perform regression testing
• Adhere to development standards and naming conventions to optimize performance and maintainability
• Conduct unit, system, and UAT testing; troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis
• Engage with business users for requirement refinement and enhancements

Educational Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or an equivalent field.
