About the Role

Extreme Networks is seeking a highly motivated and proactive Oracle CPQ (BigMachines/BMI) techno-functional developer with between 4 to 7 years of industry experience. As a key member of an agile team, you will support and enhance the renewal quoting business by delivering and maintaining functional capabilities on the Oracle CPQ platform.

Technical and Functional Expertise

  • Proficiency with ABO/Subscription Workbench and commerce workflow processes.
  • Hands-on experience with CPQ Data Tables, Attributes, Rules, BML Scripts, and Steps including Advanced Forwarding Rules.
  • Understanding of CPQ BOM structure, API/SOAP integration, mapping rules, and BOM tables.
  • Expertise with BML Library Functions and Scripts (BMQL).
  • Familiarity with Analytics/Rating engine and Document/Email Designer functionalities.
  • Strong knowledge of advanced pricing models and multi-tier pricing structures specifically in channel sales environments.
  • Experience managing partner organizations and user integration with Salesforce.com.
  • Configuring advanced approvals routing and setting financial thresholds utilizing pricing analytics.
  • Ability to apply quote and line-level rules including validation, access control, hiding, constraints, and filters.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the CPQ data model.
  • Analytical mindset capable of both independent work and effective team collaboration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for discussing complex technical concepts.
  • Exposure to Oracle CPQ Cloud integration via pre-built connectors and point-to-point connections with Salesforce (SFDC) and Oracle ERP.
  • Knowledge of web services standards including WSDL, SOAP, REST, XML, XML Schema, XSL, and WS security protocols.
  • Experience in strategies for bulk data upload and migration.
  • Understanding of Oracle Subscription Management Cloud and service/subscription contract schemas related to renewal quoting processes.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Own the implementation and deployment of new features and enhancements with focus on CPQ/BigMachines.
  • Conduct detailed root cause analysis in collaboration with technical, functional, and business teams, evaluating pros and cons of solutions and recommending the best course of action.
  • Create technical design documents addressing business challenges and provide both short and long-term solutions.
  • Develop test cases for configurations and identify gaps within existing solutions.
  • Review architecture, performance, and code compliance standards related to Oracle CPQ/BigMachines development.
  • Provide support by troubleshooting customer issues, resolving defects, handling enhancement requests, and managing backlog items including technical research and effort estimation.
  • Contribute across all software development life cycle stages including functional analysis, technical requirements development, testing, deployment, and support.

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, computer science, or related disciplines, or at least 4 years of equivalent professional experience.

Experience Required

  • A minimum of 4 to 7 years of proven experience in Oracle CPQ project implementation or relevant industry exposure.
