Job description
Overview
This role involves operating production machinery while ensuring compliance with company protocols and quality standards. The Operator is accountable for maintaining smooth production flow and adhering to safety and quality guidelines.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Verify the readiness of all essential documents such as JFT and IFM before initiating new jobs to reduce downtime and maintain continuous production.
- Operate machinery strictly following Work Instructions and IFM to guarantee safe and efficient functioning.
- Identify operational issues and seek assistance promptly to minimize interruptions and enhance productivity.
- Collaborate with Quality Control Inspectors to assure quality standards during startup runs and confirm finished products meet specifications.
- Report any observed quality defects to Quality Control and Team Leader for timely corrective measures.
- Coordinate with the Team Leader to request maintenance support for any corrective maintenance needs.
- Delegate tasks to Helpers to support smooth workflow and uphold 5S organizational standards within the machine area and workplace.
- Instruct Helpers regarding required bag and pallet specifications, and adjust the filling scale according to the designated bag weight.
- Document daily production metrics in the Daily Production Report (DPR) and ERP systems, then submit reports to the Team Leader for production tracking.
- Complete machine parameter logs and forward them to the Team Leader for approval and system entry to drive productivity improvements.
- Inspect product and pallet labels to verify accuracy and correct packaging modes.
