Role Overview

As an Operations Technician within our Singapore manufacturing team, you will lead daily production processes, mentor junior team members, and collaborate closely with engineering and quality departments to ensure safe, compliant, and dependable operations. This position demands practical problem-solving skills to remove operational hurdles and enhance workflows. We seek individuals who are curious, collaborative, and invested in continuous learning. Key Responsibilities

  • Execute production tasks during day shifts to achieve safety, quality, and production targets.
  • Manage equipment setup, changeovers, and shift handovers adhering to established procedures and documentation standards.
  • Provide on-the-job training and constructive feedback by coaching junior technicians and operators.
  • Conduct regular equipment inspections, perform basic maintenance with hand tools, and liaise with engineers for complex repairs.
  • Assist with investigating operational issues by collecting evidence and supporting corrective and preventive measures.
  • Initiate and lead small-scale projects aimed at enhancing efficiency, minimizing waste, and improving quality.
  • Ensure daily compliance with safety and operational standards within your responsibility area.
  • Maintain accurate batch records, logbooks, and other official documentation following good documentation practices.
  • Effectively manage shift handovers and team briefings to maintain coordination and transparency.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and materials teams to troubleshoot and sustain supply continuity.
  • Maintain tidiness and adhere to workplace safety and cleanliness requirements.
  • Support preparation activities for production campaigns, trials, or new process implementations as necessary.

Basic Qualifications

  • Possess a NITEC, ITE, Polytechnic diploma, or equivalent technical credential.
  • A minimum of three years’ hands-on experience in manufacturing, production, or technical trades.
  • Practical expertise in operating and maintaining production or utility machinery.
  • Proven experience in supervising or mentoring team members within a production setting.
  • Proficient in written and verbal English communication with strong record-keeping capability.
  • Availability to work full-time onsite during day shifts, including supporting shift handovers as required.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Understanding of good manufacturing practices with a strong quality-oriented mindset.
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting tools and root cause analysis techniques.
  • Knowledge of materials handling equipment and inventory management principles.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and use of production software.
  • Motivation to develop into technical specialist, process support, or supervisory roles.
