Operations Supervisor (Transmission & Distribution)

Job Overview

This role involves overseeing the transmission and distribution of gas via Central Master Control Stations (CMCS). The position requires monitoring the Pipeline Management System (PMS) and Metering System at CMCS/TDOC, managing manifold and let-down stations to ensure their efficient operation. The supervisor is responsible for promptly reporting faults and maintaining continuous supply to consumers.

Supervision extends to the maintenance of SCADA and PMS systems, ensuring issues are addressed quickly to minimize pipeline and station downtime. Coordination of gas distribution through stations and pipelines, as well as distribution to local customers, is a critical responsibility. the role demands adherence to regulations and the development and enforcement of safe working practices. Incorrect decisions could lead to shutdowns affecting consumers, resulting in substantial financial losses and disruption to power stations and multiple downstream consumers.

Responsibilities

• Oversee gas transmission and distribution through CMCS and associated stations.
• Monitor pipeline and metering systems ensuring operational efficiency and continuity.
• Supervise maintenance and prompt fault resolution for SCADA and PMS.
• Coordinate gas distribution to ensure safety, efficiency, and optimal utilization of resources.
• Implement and enforce strict safety regulations and work procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years' experience in the Hydrocarbon Processing Industry.
• At least 3 years in a supervisory capacity.
• Bachelor of Science degree, preferably in Chemical Engineering.
• Strong team leadership and motivational skills.
• Effective interpersonal communication abilities.
• Demonstrated problem-solving aptitude and strategic foresight.
