Operations Lead

Role Overview

We seek an experienced professional in food manufacturing to take charge of operational readiness and oversee commissioning activities at a newly established food processing plant.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assess factory layout, production workflow, and readiness for operations.
• Create and implement detailed SOPs, batch documentation, and work instructions for production processes.
• Set up hygiene, sanitation standards, traceability mechanisms, and production control procedures.
• Assist with equipment commissioning, production trial runs, and plant startup activities.
• Ensure the facility complies with GMP, HACCP, NAFDAC, and SON regulatory standards.
• Provide training to the production and quality assurance teams on approved operational procedures.
• Develop key production metrics focusing on yield optimization, waste minimization, downtime reduction, and output maximization.

Candidate Profile

• Proven expertise in food manufacturing operations or factory commissioning.
• In-depth knowledge and practical application of GMP, HACCP, NAFDAC, and SON guidelines.
• Experienced in drafting and deploying SOPs along with efficient production systems.
• Pragmatic, systematic approach with ability to collaborate directly with on-site factory staff and equipment vendors.

Success Measurement

Effectiveness in this position will be demonstrated when the facility is fully prepared to commence controlled commercial production.
